A new contemporary extension to this 1930s detached property, replacing a previous smaller extension. The new extension reused the existing Bath stone cut blocks and contrasted these with new Bath stone bricks on the internal face, creating a contemporary aesthetic which remains sympathetic to the original structure.
To keep the form of the new extension subservient to the original building, the roofline of the new extension falls towards the main roof and joins below the eaves line, keeping the roofline of the main house intact.
