Private House Extension, Bath

An existing bungalow in a prominent location was rebuilt into a two-storey family home. Its curved roof and use of glulam beams was designed with sustainability in mind as well as to provide a modern and distinctive elevation. 

The existing roof of the bungalow and all internal walls were removed. A new steel frame supported the new first floor, and new external timber walls at first floor support the glulam roof.
