Staunton Manor, Whitchurch, Bristol
A collection of historic agricultural buildings were converted to residential use. The structural design called for a sympathetic conversion which brought the buildings to modern specifications whilst preserving the historic appearance and value of the site.
Centred around a shared courtyard, and with each building designed individually, this project provided a unique opportunity to deliver a housing development with a strong community feel.
Giraffe Engineering provided a full structural and civil design service for this project which included a thorough and comprehensive survey of the existing agricultural buildings, identifying any remedial works required and developing the detailed design for the new extensions to tie in with the existing structures
